Stephen David Vandoren was appointed as the Director of Mapping and Zoning by the Board of County Commissioners in January of 2019

With a career spanning over 10 years in urban planning, geographic information systems (GIS), and land use regulation, Vandoren is widely respected for his expertise in zoning policy and his commitment to sustainable development. He holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor’s in Environmental Science from Oregon State University. Vandoren’s dedication to responsible land management has made him an essential leader in shaping the growth and development of Blaine County.
