Blaine County Primary Election Set for May 6th, 2025; Letters of Intent Due April 11th

3/26/2025 – The Blaine County Clerk and Recorder's Office today announced details regarding the upcoming primary election for County Commissioner (District 3) and School Board Members, scheduled for Tuesday, May 6th, 2025. This primary election will be held only if necessary, meaning if multiple candidates from the same political party file for a specific office. The general election is set for November 4th, 2025.

The election will fill key positions within the county, impacting the local community and its future development.  Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their Letters of Intent to participate in the election process.

Crucial Deadline for Candidates: Letters of Intent Due April 11th, 2025

Aspiring candidates must submit their Letters of Intent to the Clerk and Recorder's Office by April 11th, 2025, to be eligible for the primary ballot. This deadline is firm and will not be extended.

Submission Guidelines for Letters of Intent:

The Clerk and Recorder's Office is accepting Letters of Intent through multiple channels to ensure accessibility for all candidates. Letters must be handwritten or typed.

Importance of the Primary Election:

The primary election serves to narrow the field of candidates within each political party, allowing voters to choose their preferred nominee to represent the party in the November general election. If only one candidate from a party files for an office, that candidate will automatically advance to the general election, and a primary will not be held for that race.
