Kaylee Riley Espinoza was appointed as Director of the Financial Services Department by the Board of County Commissioners in January of 2025.

Her appointment marked the culmination of years of dedicated service to the County and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in financial management.  Kaylee brought to the role a deep understanding of the intricacies of government finance, a passion for serving the public, and a strong belief in the power of collaboration.

Prior to her appointment as Director, Kaylee served as the Assistant Director of Financial Services from 2018 to 2024. In this capacity, she honed her expertise in managing essential financial operations, including payroll and accounts payable. She was instrumental in streamlining processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vital transactions for the County. Her colleagues recognized her not only for her technical skills but also for her collaborative spirit and willingness to mentor others, fostering a supportive and productive work environment.

Kaylee's commitment to excellence in financial management is rooted in her belief that sound fiscal practices are the cornerstone of a thriving community. She is a strong advocate for transparency and accountability, striving to maintain the public's trust through clear and accessible financial reporting. She believes that by empowering citizens with financial knowledge, the County can foster a more engaged and informed populace. To this end, she has spearheaded initiatives to make complex financial information readily available and understandable to all residents.

Beyond her professional achievements, Kaylee is an active member of her community. She volunteers her time with local organizations dedicated to financial literacy, teaching budgeting skills and providing guidance on saving and investing. She is particularly passionate about working with young people, helping them develop healthy financial habits from an early age. She also serves on the board of a non-profit that provides financial assistance to families in need, ensuring that all members of the community have access to essential resources.

In her free time, Kaylee is an avid outdoor enthusiast. She enjoys exploring the hiking trails in the nearby mountains, often accompanied by her beloved rescue dog, Luna. She also finds joy in experimenting with new recipes from around the world, hosting potluck dinners with friends where they can share culinary creations and cultural experiences.  These gatherings are a testament to Kaylee's ability to bring people together and create a sense of community wherever she goes.
